Vertical shaft impact sand making machine and horizontal impact crusher are different. They have significant differences in structure, working principle, performance characteristics and applicable scenarios, as follows:
1. Structural differences
Vertical shaft impact sand making machine:
The structure is compact and mainly consists of transmission device, main shaft, cylinder, upper cover and base.
The impeller has a unique design. The material is accelerated in the impeller and then thrown out to achieve efficient crushing.
Horizontal impact crusher:
The structure is relatively complex, including springs, railings, front impact frame, rear impact frame, impact liner, square steel, impact liner bolts, flip cover device, main shaft, plate hammer, rotor frame, liner, locking block, clamping block and other components.
The plate hammer and impact plate are core components, and the material is crushed through their interaction.
2. Differences in working principles
Vertical shaft impact sand making machine:
The crushing principle of “stone hitting stone” or “stone hitting iron” is adopted. After the material is added from the upper port, it is accelerated by the high-speed rotating impeller and thrown to the impact plate or material lining for impact crushing.
The material is hit and rubbed multiple times in the crushing chamber to achieve efficient fine crushing and shaping.
Horizontal impact crusher:
The material is crushed by the high-speed impact of the plate hammer and the rebound of the impact plate. After the material enters the crusher, it is first impacted and crushed by the plate hammer on the rotor, and then thrown to the impact device for re-crushing.
The material is repeatedly impacted and crushed in the crushing chamber until it reaches the required particle size and is discharged.
3. Differences in performance characteristics
Vertical shaft impact sand making machine:
High crushing efficiency, excellent finished product particle shape, mostly cubic, low needle-like content.
Suitable for fine crushing and shaping of medium-hard and extra-hard materials, such as river pebbles, granite, etc.
Compact structure, small footprint, stable operation, low working noise.
Horizontal impact crusher:
Large crushing ratio, good discharging particle shape, regular particle shape.
Suitable for crushing medium-hard and lower-hard materials, such as limestone, coal gangue, etc.
The gap between the impact plate and the hammer can be easily adjusted to effectively control the particle size of the discharge.
4. Differences in applicable scenarios
Vertical shaft impact sand making machine:
Widely used in machine-made sand production, high-grade highway/railway aggregate shaping and other fields.
Especially suitable for engineering projects with high requirements for sand and gravel quality.
Horizontal impact crusher:
Suitable for medium and fine crushing of building materials and building aggregates.
It is also widely used in mining, metallurgy, chemical industry and other industries.
